My wife has one of the BookBook prototypes. She LOVES it. She takes her MacBook Air everywhere in it. People can’t believe it when she sits down at a meeting with the BookBook and unzips a Mac. It’s a real conversation starter. TwelveSouth has another winning product.

Assuming a software update is all that’s required to add compatibility to the LED Cinema Display, could I get a BassJump now, suffer through mediocre sound (which would probably be better than the the Cinema Display speakers on their own) and eventually have a “boomin’ system” via a future software update?

I have the SurfacePad on my 15″ MacBook Pro. It rocks. I got it as a whim, but you can’t get me to take it off now. It looks great, giving my MacBook a distinctive style and it’s soft on my wrists. As an added bonus, my 13 year older said, “Dad, where’d you get the really cool swirly thing on your Mac?” And then, “that’s so cool, that’s so cool.” So I upped my Dad cool factor a smidge.
